5 Ways to Look and Feel Younger
Age has a way of sneaking up on us. One minute, you’re dancing into the wee hours of the morning with your friends, and the next, you’re feeling aches and pains in places you didn’t know existed. While there’s nothing you can do to halt the passage of time, there are things you can do to look AND feel younger.
You don't Have to Look your Age
Age is just a number, but there’s no shame in wanting your skin to look a little more plump, dewy and wrinkle-free. I’ve compiled a list of tips & tricks to reverse some of the earliest signs of aging so you can look and feel your best at any age.
1. Drink More Water
Believe it or not, drinking plenty of water is great for your skin. Water is considered a wonder moisturizer which also reduces the appearances of fine lines on the skin, and in addition helps one to look younger and slimmer too. Not drinking enough pure water makes your skin puffy and can even lead to bloating.
2. Don't Skimp On Skincare Products
Investing in a good skincare routine is never a bad idea. And the older we get, the more important it becomes. Take the time to love on your skin every day and it will thank you every time you look in the mirror. There are a variety of creams, lotions and potions on the market for every price range and skincare concern. The key though is consistency. Whatever you choose, do it faithfully every single day to start seeing results.
3. Learn Something New
Keep your brain active and in shape by learning something new. Learn a new language, join cooking classes, or take up a new hobby. The new skills you learn, as well as the new friendships you will make, will help you feel younger and keep your brain healthy for years to come.
4. Eat Breakfast
You’ve heard it before, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eating breakfast gives you more energy for your daily activities, and provides important nutrients that you require throughout the day. Set yourself up to make a quick breakfast the night before: chop up vegetables for an omelet, fruit to top your yogurt with or keep hard-boiled eggs in the fridge for a quick grab and go.
5. Move Your Body
You don’t have to hit the gym for hours on end to stay active and healthy. Walking is one of the easiest ways to stay active without undue strain on your joints — a brisk 30 minute walk every day will help you stay strong and feel more energized. Even better if you can work up to 60 minutes. If you can walk outside, the fresh air and sunshine will also do your mind & body good.

You don’t have to resign yourself to “feeling your age”! Instead, make a plan to take care of your physical and mental health, and enjoy life to the fullest. Forget aging gracefully, let’s age youthfully!! People who are happy tend to have fewer wrinkles, lines and other outward signs of aging. Though smiles do cause wrinkles over time, you can slow down this process by being happier. By seeking out ways to find happiness and to cultivate it in your life, you will begin to notice that you not only feel better about your life, but your life is healthier, richer, and more engaged.
